CC licenses have long served as a legally enforceable tool for digital sharing–focused on open sharing in the public interest. With increasingly widespread machine use of content through AI, we have seen an increase in enclosure and less permissive sharing as a response. In this webinar we will speak about how open sharing remains essential to the public-interest work of increasing access to knowledge and culture. We will start with a short presentation on the guidance and how it impacts different sectors like Education, Science and Culture. We will then take questions from the audience and hear about any feedback you might have. This guidance is just one part of our ongoing work, where we will be continuing to work towards tools that give more agency, and clear rules for the AI era.
