Isaura Arreguin
Isaura Arreguin was born and raised in Michoacan Mexico, at the age of 17 she migrated to California and learned English in just one year. Isaura obtained a Bachelors of Science in Sociology from Grand Canyon University. Isaura’s professional profile includes over 12 years of experience in the education field. She believes in social justice and her career journey demonstrates it.
Isaura has primarily worked and collaborated in the development and implementation of comprehensive race conscious-equity focused instruction, student services and online programs designed to increase student access and success, student outreach and student personal development- classroom success focusing her efforts in the support and mentorship of underrepresented groups; adult, dreamers and nontraditional students. One of her passions is to mentor, empower and advocate for young Latinas to achieve their professional goals. Isaura has collaborated with programs like Mujeres en Accion, Girls Inc, Monterey County Migrant Education Programs and was recently selected as National Board Member of Latina Professionals. Isaura is also a member of CCColegas (California Community College Organization de LatinX).
Isaura believes opportunities are endless for those who have “ganas” and are focused on their goals, therefore her desire to give back to the community through her philanthropic service. Isaura is married and lives with her husband and two daughters in Salinas California. Isaura loves to travel, learn about different cultures and meet people from all over the world.
